Location Montenegro

The most beautiful encounter between land and sea took place on the Montenegrin coast.
Lord Gordon Byron (1788-1824),
English novelist and poet
"When our planet was formed, the most beautiful encounter between sea and land must have happened on the Montenegrin coast. And when the pearls of nature were distributed, they were scattered in abundance in this area."
Lord Byron (1788-1824)
Location Montenegro - a pearl of nature between the sea and mountains
Montenegro belongs to the Balkan states and is one of the smaller countries in Europe with about 621,000 inhabitants and an area of 13,812 square kilometers. The country on the Adriatic Sea impresses with a breathtaking coast and an imposing mountain world inland. Several national parks (Durmitor, Skadarsee, Biogradska Gora, Lovćen) and many sights such as the famous Bay of Kotor, which is reminiscent of a Norwegian fjord and serves as a port of call for cruise ships, are located on its limited area. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.
Friendliness and openness
Montenegrins are very sociable. People meet up often and like to experience music, culture and sport together. There is a wide range on offer, which is of course also open to tourists. With its varied history and many different outside influences, Montenegro has a mixed culture in many ways. The offer in the numerous street cafes ranges from "German coffee" and "Turkish coffee" to the classic Italian espresso and is also popular with locals and tourists at any time of the day. Serbian-Orthodox Christians (around 70%) and Muslims (around 20%) live peacefully side by side and with each other. Lipovo, the location of our project, is more Serbian-Orthodox. One of the most imposing Serbian-Orthodox churches in the coastal town of Bar has its origins in one of the most beautiful love stories in the country. The funds for its construction came not only from Orthodox donors, but also from Catholics and Muslims. Even today, members of all three religions take part in the annual procession.
The coasts of Montenegro have their own charm, but we consciously chose the mountainous region inland. Here our customers can expect impressive nature, some of which is developed for tourism and some of which is untouched.
The small town of Kolasin, which includes the municipality of Lipovo, is located inland, only 80 km from the capital Podgorica. Connected by the new highway, but also by the famous railway line between Belgrade and Bar, you can quickly reach the international airport, or you can continue on to enjoy a day on one of the sandy beaches near Ulcinj.
Due to its altitude of 945m, Kolasin is considered a climatic health resort and enchants with its wooded mountains. The Tara River with its impressive gorge flows directly through Kolasin and particularly attracts adventurous visitors with a zip line across the canyon or a rafting tour through the gorge. If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, you can treat yourself to Montenegrin cuisine in one of the restaurants right on the water and enjoy the view.
In addition to extensive hikes through nature - also on snowshoes in winter - mountain biking and climbing are also available. Anglers and fly fishers find paradisiacal conditions. In the winter months, ski and snowboard fans get their money's worth on the nearby slopes.

Bay of Kotor
Kotor, with its beautiful old town, has Venetian charm and is located in a bay that is more reminiscent of Norway. Small winding streets with a large selection of small restaurants and bars invite you to take a day trip.
An impressive gorge that is one of the deepest and longest gorges in Europe. The Tara flows through Kolasin and can be easily reached from Lipovo in a very short time.

Lake Skadar
Let yourself be enchanted on a boat trip on one of Europe's largest inland lakes. You can also observe rare birds in peace and quiet among the countless water lilies.

Bjelasica
Ski area at Kolašin adjacent with a total of 45 km of slopes
